IV. REGULATED PROFESSION

IV.1. Amicable debt collection activity.

URIOS and BEIC conduct amicable debt collection activity. In this regard, URIOS and BEIC are subject to all regulations applicable to this activity, in particular to articles R124-1 et seq of the Civil enforcement procedures code.

In accordance with Article R124-2 of the civil enforcement procedures code, URIOS and BEIC hold an account used exclusively for the receipt of funds on behalf of creditors.

URIOS and BEIC also hold an insurance policy guaranteeing them against the financial consequences of professional civil liability that may be incurred by virtue of their activity.

In accordance with article R124-2 of the civil enforcement procedures code, the amicable debt collection activity conducted by URIOS and BEIC has been declared to the Public Prosecutor.

 

IV.2. Civil investigation activity.

BEIC conducts civil investigation activity in particular. In this regard, it is subject to all the legal provisions in force pertaining to this regulated profession, particularly to professional secrecy as defined in article R631-9 of the Internal security code.

Therefore, in compliance with Articles L621-1 et seq of the Internal security code, BEIC’s activity consists in particular of collecting, even without mentioning its quality or revealing the purpose of its mission, information or intelligence intended for third parties, with a view to defending the interests of the latter. Consequently, it is subject to the provisions of Title II of book VI of the Internal security code.

The Private Investigation Agency activity conducted by BEIC is subject to authorisation to conduct number AUT-093-2116-12-19-20170622762, in accordance with articles L622-6 to L622-12 of the Internal security code and decree n° 2016-515 of 26 April 2016 pertaining to conditions for conduct of private security activities and to the National council of private security activities.
